The most frequent questions Dr. Arroyo is asked:
Do I really need to floss everyday?
The answer is probably not going to come as a shock; you should really floss most days. I always tell my patients that you only need to floss the teeth that you want to keep. When you come for an appointment our staff will happily show you the best and most efficient way to floss.
Why do I need to come in for a cleaning and checkup every 6 months, even though I am good about brushing and flossing?
Everyone should come in regularly for a check-up and cleaning. Those with gum disease should come in even more frequently. If you don't know if you have gum disease, the hygienist or I will let you know. We check for oral cancer every time you come in for a cleaning and exam. It is important to stay on top of any problems that may be developing that you may not even feel yet. If a cavity is caught early, it will be a whole lot easier to fix and will ultimately save you time and money and even pain in the long run. It is almost always worth it to come in every six months.
Is it safe to bleach my teeth?
